Strengthening Mutual Startup Support Between Taiwan and Japan
The TAKAGI Group operates “BIRTH,” a life creation brand exploring the future of real estate by fostering connections with communities, the environment, and education. Centered around the community management of the coworking space “BIRTH LAB / WORK” in Azabujuban, Tokyo, it promotes creating fertile ground for startup entrepreneurship to flourish. Currently, individuals from diverse sectors—including IT, creative industries, public-private partnerships, education, finance, and HR—utilize “BIRTH LAB / WORK.” This fosters not only relationships with the TAKAGI Group but also collaborations among members, generating new synergies.
Furthermore, we are advancing the creation of new real estate value beyond our traditional real estate business, built since our founding. This includes collaborations with food and beverage companies that began during the COVID-19 pandemic and the multifaceted project “SALON 91°,” which promotes the creation of gathering places through both software and hardware approaches. Building on the community-building and collaborative expertise cultivated by the TAKAGI Group, and aiming to serve as a “bridge” for regional revitalization in both countries through strengthened mutual startup support between Taiwan and Japan, we have concluded this comprehensive partnership agreement.

“We are truly delighted that Takagi Building has entered into this comprehensive partnership agreement with ‘Startup Island TAIWAN’. This agreement holds great significance in aiming for the development of the startup ecosystems in Japan and Taiwan, respectively, and strengthening mutual collaboration. We expect it to serve as a foundation for entrepreneurs and startups from both countries to connect and jointly create new value.
The BIRTH project we promote aims not only to provide office space but also to create a “collaborative space” where startups naturally meet, collaborate, and innovation is born. Building on this agreement, we will deepen cross-border connections and jointly cultivate an environment where we can learn from each other and grow together. We sincerely hope this collaboration will unlock new economic and social possibilities for both Taiwan and Japan, ultimately contributing to regional revitalization and sustainable development. We look forward to the future developments with great anticipation.
