The Japanese qualifying round for the startup event “Polar Bear Pitching,” held in Oulu, Finland on Thursday, February 27, 2025, will take place at BIRTH LAB on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The winning startup from the Japan qualifier will represent Japan at the main competition (final event) of the Oulu-based Avant Pitching event. At the main competition in Finland, startups pitch their innovative business ideas while standing inside an ice hole (avant) cut into a frozen river.

This unique event places greater emphasis on the passion of entrepreneurs than typical business pitch events! We are also recruiting speakers, so if you are interested, please take a look.
