The Japan CEO Association (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Representative: Chiho Tanaka), commissioned by Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, has begun accepting entries for a new project supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in the city: “CEO AUDITION ~ Nobeoka CEO Production ~”. Our Representative Director and Head of the TAKAGI Group, Hidekuni Takagi, is participating as a judge. This audition-style initiative targets individuals interested in starting a business in Nobeoka City or those who have already launched a business and seek further growth. The only requirements for participation are enthusiasm and passion; age, experience, and business plans are not factors. Successful candidates will receive expert consultations and technical support, while those not selected will still gain access to specific benefits. By fostering CEOs through this project, we aim to revitalize Nobeoka City’s economy and promote its renewal. The CEO AUDITION evaluates candidates through a two-stage screening process, assessing their determination and passion to become a CEO, their commitment to Nobeoka, and whether they possess the character suitable for a CEO. Successful candidates then advance to the Challenge Stage, where they present themselves and their vision for Nobeoka directly to the judges and receive immediate feedback.

■ Eligibility
　・ Individuals who wish to start a business in Nobeoka or are considering doing so
　・ Individuals who have already started a business in Nobeoka but wish to achieve further growth
■ Requirements
　・ No age/experience restrictions; no business plan required
　・ Assessment based on passion and drive to become a CEO, and the individual’s character
　・ valuation of your feelings toward Nobeoka and awareness of its challenges
　　 ※ Residence in Nobeoka City is not a requirement
■ Support Details
　・ Opportunities for meetings with company executives in Tokyo or Osaka, business concept development, etc.
　・ Hosting informative seminars
　・ Participation in management development support

programs About the CEO Audition

Traditional business plan contests tend to favor those who can proactively start a business, evaluating factors like past successful business models, presentation skills, and management team backgrounds. In contrast, the “CEO Audition” prioritizes discovering and developing the individual character and behavioral traits of the CEO candidate through the screening process, rather than focusing solely on prior CEO experience or business ideas. We work together to explore and develop methods for anyone to achieve their maximum potential within their given circumstances. This includes not only those who can actively start a business or experienced professional managers, but also individuals constrained by family circumstances or physical challenges, those driven by ambition to earn money, and those seeking to pursue entrepreneurship as a side venture.
