SOUDA in Uda City, Nara Prefecture Opens Monday, October 16
The “Nara Satellite Office Uda” [commonly known as SOUDA] opened in Uda City, Nara Prefecture on Monday, October 16, 2023. Takagi Building, which has a comprehensive partnership agreement, participated as an advisor, contributing to the establishment of the operational philosophy and creative areas such as concept development and logo design.
“SOUDA” utilizes the former building of the Yamato Shinkin Bank’s old Haibara Branch. It serves as a satellite office for companies outside the city and a telework base for employees of companies both inside and outside the city. It is a facility that can be used for various purposes, including hosting events and workshops.

Prior to the grand opening, an opening ceremony was held on Sunday, September 24th. Mayor Kongo of Uda City, Director Higashi of the Agriculture, Forestry, and Commerce Department, Mr. Sumi, Representative Director of the Public-Private Partnership Research Institute, and our company’s Representative Director, Hidekuni Takagi, took the stage for a panel discussion themed “Imagining Uda’s Future.”

■ Concept Copy
Imagine the future and sow the seeds.
Water them, watch them sprout, and form buds.
As seasons turn, they weave into new harvests.
Here, we create together, nurturing a warm community.
Let’s weave our dreams into that future.
Let’s imagine Uda’s future.

■ About the Naming/Logo Design
“SOUDA” embodies the aspiration to imagine Uda’s future in this place and cultivate a community by creating together with like-minded companions.
“創” (Sō): To create, to bring forth
“相” (Ai): Mutual, together
“奏” (Sō): To resonate, to play
“想” (Omo): To imagine, mind/thought

The letters of “SOUDA”—a combination of various key “SOU” elements and Uda City’s ‘UDA’—are arranged rhythmically. The initial “S” forms a continuous line pointing toward the future. Furthermore, as described in the Manyoshu: “If the vermilion soil of Uda in Yamato were to be crushed, even that place would become a person’s heart” (Volume 7-1376), the cinnabar mined at the Yamato Mercury Mine in Uda City. We used its unique vermilion color as an accent in the logo.
